WHY WE YOMP
The Carpathian Yomp is an endurance event designed for teams of four with a choice of bronze (40km), silver (60km), or gold (80km) routes through the spectacular Carpathians Mountains, taking in stunning views, ancient villages, and iconic churches. There is also a 17k option mainly for prosthetic walkers. It is our flagship event bringing teams together in an annual gathering of veteran support, resilience and unity.
The Carpathian Yomp
This is all in support of veterans and amputees, inspired by long-distance military training marches at 'Your Own March Pace' (hence: YOMP). Designed to build resilience, overcome challenges and strengthen camaraderie, the event also raises funds for ongoing rehabilitation. "Together We Fight. Together We Rehabilitate."
*The Carpathian Yomp has the potential to be a wonderful fundraiser for veteran programmes firmly keeping the spotlight on the Ukrainian veterans many of whom will take part as a personal challenge side by side with friends and family.
*The event will also provide the chance for veteran groups to have a platform to talk about other initiatives helping veterans find ways to move forwards with their lives.
*We are hoping that teams from across Ukraine – and the wider international veteran community – along with HopeFull Future & HopeFull Paws will be joining us for this event.

The HopeFull YOMP is the main focus of the event, but there will also be a tented village, campfire workshops, and various stalls. Veterans and amputees will be able to share stories, experiences and best practices, while being provided with physical and metal support from experts and aid organisations on site.
This event launched in 2025 and proved to be both challenging and inspirational. We have a site, and dates for 2026, and hope that we can fund this with some generous donations or a title sponsor.
